Melita Granger is a Melbourne-based writer, editor and researcher and the owner/director of Flair Writing & Editing.

In addition to freelancing (including work for Fairfax), she has worked in publishing (Lonely Planet and Black Inc.). She has also worked for an Australian federal politician, as a proofreader for the Government Gazette, and as a Project Officer for a government research body.

Melita has written a biography of best-selling author and country music star, Kinky Friedman, titled In Search of Everything Kinky: The Authorised Oral Biography of Kinky Friedman. 

Melita's non-fiction travel story on being kidnapped in India was anthologised in a Lonely Planet publication titled Lonely Planet Unpacked Again.

She has also structurally edited one award-winning novel (Simmone Howell's Notes from a Teenage Underground).
